LIZARD PAINTING
The Cave
I enjoy creating animal portraits that show the beauty and detail of wildlife. This lizard was painted with acrylic paint and marker pen on canvas, with a poured acrylic paint background that created the colourful drips. They remind me of stalactites hanging from the roof of a cave, so I like to imagine this little lizard living deep underground.
Painting all of the tiny scales took a lot of time and patience, but it was great to see the finished piece come together. The mix of detailed line work and the flowing background makes this one of my favourite animal portraits.

About the Artist
Art has always been a constant in my life. I enjoy experimenting with a wide range of tools, from traditional brushes and palette knives to sponges and everyday objects, allowing me to create rich textures and unexpected marks. I also spend time stepping back from the canvas throughout the process, letting the painting reveal its own story.
